Looking for Hair Loss Cures? Read On!
Hair loss is an upsetting problem that affects men and women worldwide. If you're one of them, then you're probably looking for hair loss cures to remedy the problem. Before you can find the right cure, however, you must understand why you're losing your hair. The most common cause of hair loss is genetics, especially in men experiencing pattern baldness.
There are other causes that may not be genetic, however. One of them is nutritional deficiency. In this case, you'll want to eat more healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and healthy dairy. And, your doctor will probably direct you to take a multivitamin each day. Vitamins like Iron, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Zinc are all crucial for healthy hair.
Sometimes, a hormonal imbalance due to a thyroid problem or even childbirth may be causing excessive hair loss. In this case, your doctor may be able to prescribe you medication to balance the hormones. And speaking of medication, certain types of medicines may have hair loss as a side effect. Tell your doctor if you suspect this, because sometimes your prescription can be changed. Stress can even be a factor in unexplained hair loss. Learning to manage your stress can go a long way towards encouraging hair to grow back.
But what about those genetic cases? Thankfully, there are many options for people to try. One of the most popular and affordable treatments is Rogaine. Found in the hair care aisle of your local supermarket or pharmacy, Rogaine is available for only around $29 a month. It is available in both Regular Strength, and Extra Strength for more stubborn cases. Another treatment for genetic hair loss, for men anyway, is Propecia. This FDA approved prescription pill has shown dramatic results for men with genetic male-pattern baldness. While Propecia can be very effective for men, it should never be taken by women or children.
When seeking hair loss cures, it's important to first see your doctor. He or she can give you a thorough physical examination to rule out underlying medical causes like infection or disease. Your doctor can also refer you towards the most effective hair loss cure for your particular type of hair loss.
